Bought WSM 206 from Mike Lewis in 1964 and proved to be a very capable driver at circuits around the UK. The car was later changed back to road specification and advertised through the Chequered Flag garage in Chiswick. June 2004 Autosport magazine’s ‘Racing Lives’ section featured Simon and enabled contact to be re-established — a Champion spark plug executive involved with the F1 Grand Prix business.
