WSM 202 — Sprint

Mike Lewis, son-in-law to DW-S, bought a damaged chassis from Alexander Engineering in 1961 and commissioned the second WSM late in 1962. An alloy bodied spaceframe design, badged as an MG version, the car was raced and hill climbed extensively in 1963.

Robin Pinkerton and Robbie Gordon were subsequent owners, and in the 1980s Rob Brisby in Scotland began a restoration.

Work was completed in 2001 by new owner Paul Woolmer in time for the WSM Re-Union at Rockingham. Goodwood Revival entries in 2003, and in 2006 with new owner Jim Lowry, led to John Pearson buying the car.

In 2007 John raced at Le Mans with Equipe GTS, before selling to Brian Arculus in August 2008. The Revival in 2010 saw WSM 202 lead the WSMs to the flag. Peter Kappeller of Switzerland is the current owner, campaigning at Equipe GTS events including Brands Hatch 2018.
