WSM 201 — Sprint

Unveiled at a Silverstone test day in October 1962 and finished in Chiron blue, two further bonnet styles were built before DW-S was satisfied with the lines. The car was used by DW-S in race, rally and hill climb events.

Featured in Autosport, the alloy bodied spaceframe car competed in the November 1962 RAC Rally with DW-S. Then sold to a Healey Club member in 1963 who changed the colour to green.

1964 at Woburn hill climb with new owner Peter Jackson. Tim Barrett bought the car from Delta Garage in 1964. John Marks bought from Peter Jackson in August 1966. Clive Rooke owned the car, registered 991 KNM, in 1967.

Peter Jackson drove WSM 201 to a remarkable 3rd in class at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in the 1964 German Grand Prix support race, and repeated the achievement at the 1965 Rennen 500km.
